At 29 years of age, Mike Kelly is well known for his ability to work a crowd into a sweaty mess of dancefloor prisoners until the lid is firmly screwed back onto his record box.

This decknician heightens sound and energy with sharp layering, thought-filled cutting & smooth turntablism. Inspired by a diverse range of DJs (Mark Farina,
Ian Pooley, Sander Kleinenberg, John Digweed) and producers (Basement Jaxx, Daft Punk, The Cure, Hybrid, Guy Gerber), Mike has coupled his passion for innovative music & mixing techniques with his love for emotional musical landscapes.

Musically, expect hypnotic melodies, sexy basslines, sensual/spatial environments, and a dash of spunky funk. Categorically, that roughly translates to a fused and confused hybrid of house, progressive, tribal, tech, electro, trance and breaks, with lots of twists!

Mike was the youngest local DJ to play at Sydney's
Mardi Gras party; and 2007 his was his 5th main room performance, this year taking over from Boy George. Other local highlights include regular performances in the 4000 person floor of The Royal Hall Of Industries
(Fox Studios, Sydney) at Sleaze Ball (2004) and Inquisition (2002/03/05). Mike's headline residency at Sydney's infamous Indulgence leather parties ensured capacity events at every event (2003/07).

Over 2000-2005, Mike was resident DJ for Manacle/The Barracks, The Colombian, Deck Bar, The Civic, Home, Soho, Mars Lounge, M.A.S.H., Icebox and Lookin' Good until his departure to Europe in 2005.

National credits include Tropical Fruits (Australia’s largest queer NYE party) and Tribal Fruits in Lismore;
in Melbourne, Woofclub, 4x4, The Market, Throb, Redemption; Family in Brisbane (2007); & in Newcastle at Gateway (2005).

Internationally, Mike first began delving into London in 2000-2004 playing Discotec @ The End, Heaven, Playtime, Coco Latte

(Brighton), The Edge & (Fingerlickin’ Records') Bar Vinyl. In 2004 he also debuted at GMF in Berlin.

In 2005, Mike set off on a musical exploration tour, following only the sounds that got deeper than his ears. Inspired by the sound of Greenkomm (Cologne),
Mike's sound developed an extra sound dimension
(air movement - spatiality), and he was quickly recruited in Brussels (Naughty, Love Ball, Caberet), Madrid
(The Angel, Royal@BUT, Euro Pride Parade), Amsterdam (Furball, Joystick Canal Pride), Barcelona (Loveball), London (Discotec), Rome

(Muccassassina), Torremelinos (Palladium), and Kitchen Club (Switzerland).

Mike has lived in Germany since May 2005, and currently in Cologne where he has been the resident dj at his beloved Greenkomm for over a year, and a regular fixture at the annual CSD street party. In Berlin Mike is
a regular at GMF, and performs at assorted leather events such as Hustlaball (KitKat), Folsom Street Fair, and PiG. In Frankfurt, Mike has combined the motif behind his Sydney party (Indulgence) with the style of Cologne's Greenkomm party in the famous Frankfurt undergound club U60311, at Under Construction. MK also headlined the last Cap San Diego event in Hamburg 2005, and can be found guesting at Sl*t Club and Obsession.

MK's current residencies outside of Germany are: Naughty (Brussels), Mecx (Paris), Furball (Amsterdam), C.Chik (Lille), and Gaydar's travelling super-club, Inbedwithgaydar.
